Canvas On Demand
By allkinds on Jul 5, 2007 | In Photography
As I stated to you the other day I received my canvas from Canvas On Demand. I took a picture of the canvas and have inserted it above. That is the picture I wanted them to turn into a canvas. Its one of my favorite pictures and I took it this past Christmas and turned it into a Christmas card.
The one thing I can say about Canvas On Demand is that my order arrived very fast via FedEx. I ordered it on the 30Th of June and it arrived on July 3rd. Its pretty cool how they do it. The picture came out very nice and clear. The order arrived intact as well.
One of the draw backs I had was when I was ordering the canvas. I had a coupon to redeem and I was having a hard time redeeming it. I had to click on the live help button to get someone to help me out. The girl I was talking was very nice and walked me through the check out process so I could redeem the coupon. That was something that I found was lacking. They needed to add a clearer way for customers to understand how to redeem certain coupons.
Other then that I truly love the canvas and would recommend them to others. This canvas would make a cool anniversary gift. I can't wait to hang up the canvas on my wall and show it off!
Nora Fleming Dinnerware
By allkinds on Jul 20, 2007 | In Home and Garden
What can I say about Nora Napientek of norafleming.com she does absolutely fantastic work! Her dinnerware collection is simple yet elegant. I received a large rectangular platter for review. The platter measures 14 ½” by 10 ¼” wide. The retail cost of the platter is $40.
I loved the fact that this platter can be used for any occasion; it is microwave and dishwasher safe. The platter is hand molded and made from ceramic. You can use this platter with a variety of pieces either from Nora’s collection or pieces you already have in the home. I had a little dinner party the other night and I used this platter to served my roasted chicken. My guest loved the platter and asked me where I got it. I was so happy to share the information, so I ran to my bedroom and pulled out the cute red box it came in. My guests were in love, just like I was. They also thought that the platter was simple yet elegant as well. One of my guests even mentioned how well the box was made and it would make a wonderful wedding gift, as is. I never thought of that as an idea.
One of the other things I like about Nora’s designs is the cute little mini’s she has. I received Bonnie Blue Bird, Frosty Pal and the pumpkin Spice. These minis retail for $12.50 each and you can use these minis to dress up your serving pieces. Nora has over 30 hand painted minis and she releases new designs each month. The platter had a little hole on the side and I inserted the Bonnie Blue Bird. That was another featured that attracted my guests to this platter. It is a very unique feature, which helps Nora stand above the crowd. I know my guests were waiting to go home and check out the norafleming.com site to see what else she had to offer. One of my guests even mentioned about purchasing some of the platters for Christmas gifts this year. Nora Flemings Platter was a big hit at my party.
I loved this platter and I loved the fact that it has many uses and it’s very durable. I also loved the fact that my guests were very impressed with the platter as well. Because of this I give Norafleming.com 5 out of 5 stars! Handy Burpee
By allkinds on Jul 11, 2007 | In Baby andToddler
I had the pleasure of reviewing Handy Burpee. Sheila McGoldrick is the brain child of this cool baby product. The Handy Burpee saves your hands from your baby spitting up on them. You use the Burpee while you are burping your baby and it has a neat pocket where you can slide your hand in and keep it there while you bottle feed or nurse your baby. Its actually a burp cloth with a twist. All of the cloths are handmade and come in some cool patterns for boys and girls. The Handy Burpee is patent pending and cost $8.99 each. You can view a video on it works here http://www.loveprints.net/works.html
To date Sheila has sold over 450 burpees family, friends and at craft shows. She has also donated over 40 burpees to parents in need, and 4 burpees to her local hospital’s nursery.
I think this is a great invention and worth the price she is charging. The cloths are made of 100% cotton flannel, making it machine washable. To get in touch with Sheila and to find out more information about the Handy Burpee visit http://www.loveprints.net
Personalized pacifiers
By allkinds on Jul 29, 2007 | In Baby andToddler
I received a pacifier from My Pacifier. They sell personalized pacifiers which are permanently engraved with a message or your babies name. They have many styles and colors to choose from. Above you will see the pacifier I received. I thought the idea was unique and the pacifier looked good. The only thing that I am concerned about as a mom, is having my child's name on the pacifier.
That is something I personally would not do. I understand the fact that they want to prevent germs from being passed around if you have your babies name on it, but I am still very leery on having my babies name displayed like that in public. Other then that I thought it was cute, you can have any message you want up to 2 lines so you don't need to put a name on it if you don't want as you can see the one I have, has a message. You can get these at mypacifier.com and they cost $15 for a set of 3.
